Preventing the Lord of ThirumAlrinsOlai from leaving

453:

dEvaki’s six children were killed by amsa because he came to know that one of her children is going to kill him. But the real killer kriSNa escaped. When He was born it was so sudden and silent that nobody knew that He was born. And soon He was taken to nandagOpa’s place. Hence it is said “chikkena vandu pirandu”. i enter where ever You go says AzhwAr. Because You live in tirumAlirum SOlai even now. Or it may mean i enter through my mind in all Your states like paramapada, pArkaDal, vyooha, viBava and archa , “pukkinil pukku”. Since You are always with me and i am always with You i can cut off the net (my body) which surrounded by a fort of duhKa (sufferings). i shall not allow You to leave me and go anywhere else.

i told You already that i go where ever You go. i know now You are in tirumAlirum SOlai, where people from all places come and worship You. i have caught You there and will never let You go. But i know Your tricky ways of escaping. You did the same with kamsa as soon as You were born. i vow on Your wife Sree that You should not do that. You may say “Yes” but You never are true to Your words. i am afraid You may break the promise.

Even the gypsies of tirumAlirum SOlai are very much devoted to You. They grow the corns in their forests and offer it first to You, before they eat it fresh. Similarly i offer my services to You and to no one else. My services are offered not with the mind of getting some benefits from You. i shall never hereafter go and wait at the door step of a mean person to serve him in order to get some returns for me. If You let me do so it is not degrading to me but Yours greatness only. If a child is allow to do mean services or beg, people criticize the parents who allow them to be like this, not the children themselves.

Wherever i go i find no shelter. i keep walking miles and miles. Only now i find Your tiruvaDi as my shelter and find my thirst quenched at Your feet. pANDavAs took You only as their resort. For their sake You went to duryOdana to talk peace. But You purposely ended the talks in war. You made the duryOdanAdis get killed in the BArata yuddha. To those who seek Your protection You give them mOkSha by destroying the enemies within them.

Long stretches have I roamed and floundered with neither shade nor water anywhere. No haven have I found, other than the shadow of your feet. O Lord of Tirumalirumsolai, you went as an emissary of the Pandavas, then spoke a few lies and kindles differences, and stacked corpses in the battle field everywhere, O My Master.

My feet do not steady, my tears do not stop welling, my body trembles weakly, my voice does not rise, my hairs stand on their ends, my shoulders droop, my heart surges with expectation, as I come to you for a new life. O Lord of Tirumalirumsolai surrounded by big lakes of fish dancing waters, O My Master.

Not even Siva or Brahma or anyone else known of a medicine to cure the sickness of rebirth. O Dark gem-hued Lord, who appeared as the healer Dhanvantri, pray cut asunder my rebirth and directs me to the portals of your grand temple. O Lord of Tirumalirumsolai, O My Master!

One day goes past and another day comes. Thus me doing nothing the days roll on and on. And one fine day my life ends. Then starts another life and another life and so on. Thus i was simply spending my life without knowing for what i am born. And to where i go. Now because of my some unknown puNya (i.e., god himself) i come to know the purpose of my life. After this jnAna i came out of the wheel of samsAra. Now i don’t allow You to go out of my mind.

Even when I was in the womb, I had the desire to serve you; today I have come here and found you, how can I let you go? With your discus you cut asunder the thousand arms of Bana and scattered them far and wide. O Lord of Tirumalirumsolai, O My Master!

The whole world goes to Tirumalirumsolai on pilgrimagem to take a holy dip in its waters. At the feet of the Lord who stands there, this decad of songs is dedicated as a sincere prayer by Vishnuchitta, king of Puduvai town of mansions gleaming with gold. Those who master it will become agents of the Lord who measured the Earth.

(periyAzhwArs has been asking BagavAn to give the kainkarya here and hereafter. Those who read these pASurAs will also get that Pala without even striving for it. BagavAn never refuses the requests of His  BaktAs. So if only we seek the tiruvaDi of AzhwAr we get the same Pala.)
